Electricity by ŠKODA | What You Need to Know

13 January 2021

It seems to us that electric vehicles and hybrids have now passed the point of scepticism with the general public – worries of range anxiety, reliability, and charging are pretty much a thing of the past. They’re accepted as a genuine, viable alternative to fossil fuelled cars, for all but the most long-distance of long-distance drivers.

And with the Government incentives available, there’s never been a better time to purchase an electric vehicle, and the ŠKODA marque represents excellent value for money – very competitively priced, excellent reliability, and a style that cuts it with any other brand available.

ŠKODA Electric Vehicles

As some of you may know, ŠKODA are part of the Volkswagen Group, and have been for around two decades. It’s the might of the VW group that have made them one of the most popular brands on the market – selling in around 100 countries, with worldwide sales in the region of 1.24million cars.

If you have an outdated view of ŠKODA, now’s the time to update that view – we can help you there!

Whether you’re looking for an SUV, saloon, or estate, ŠKODA have you covered.

ŠKODA Models

When it comes to all-electric, ŠKODA are expanding their line up on a regular basis, but currently they have:

The ENYAQ iV has two battery sizes, up to 200 horsepower, and a WLTP range of 316 miles, the all-electric SUV is ŠKODA’s latest model, and it’s already winning acclaim.

The OCTAVIA has been one of ŠKODA’s best-sellers for a number of years, and with the latest PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) technology built in, it remains a favourite. 200 horsepower, 350Nm of torque, and an all-electric range (WLTP) of 43 miles.

The SUPERB PHEV was ŠKODA’s first foray in to the electric market, and they’ve continued to update it to keep pace with the rest of the models. 37 miles of electric-only range, and up to 215 horsepower gives it a versatility that works for most families.

Electric or Hybrid

Whether it’s a hybrid or all-electric model that suits you best, our friendly team of professionals can help you make the choice, by giving you an unbiased and honest opinion; we realise that there’s still some misunderstanding regarding the choices, and with so many different terms, it can be a little confusing – PHEV, BEV, AFV, Hybrid, Mild-Hybrid, ICE … let us talk you through the different options, and give you a clearer picture as to why electricity is the future!
