Chances are, that if you’re from the south-west and have an interest in Peugeot, you’ll already know the Truscotts brand; we’ve a long association with Peugeot, dating back as far as 1993 in fact, and it’s no surprise that we’re still enormously proud to be associated with the French marque.
Despite being associated with Peugeot for over a quarter of a century, we understand that it’s the customers that make our business a success; we constantly look to improve our processes, customer satisfaction (100% success rate this last year) and the overall ‘experience’ of dealing with Truscotts.
We’re great believers in moving with the times (Truscotts Peugeot took the UKs first all-electric e208 order for example), but we also believe in ‘old fashioned’ values, in fact, we have an average score of 4.3/5 (from 339 reviews) on a trust review site, with customers happily leaving feedback such as “service has been consistently good”, “I cannot fault the experience”, “the aftersales team went above & beyond” and “highly recommended”.
As a group, we’ve won a few awards, and while we want to tell you about them (and we will), a more interesting thought came to light as we were researching our history – we have nearly 600 hundred years of combined Peugeot history between us! To put that in perspective, we’d be in the era of Henry VI, Joan of Arc, and Plymouth being the first town incorporated by Parliament.
OK, we’d be the first to admit that the figure isn’t a standard measurement – “Hey, if we combined all of our experience, we’d could be responsible for repairing Henry VI’s royal coach”, but it does give you an understanding of the level of experience within the group.
Perhaps more pertinent is the average length of service with our team; 8.6 years. We feel that this is quite an important measurement – it tells us that we’re doing our job correctly, and shows you that as a Truscotts customer, you’ll get to know our team personally and they’ll get to know you, your family and your requirements, which enables them to do a better job (we don’t believe in selling services or products that aren’t right for you).
Truscotts Peugeot have been recognised by Peugeot UK as passing the foundation phase of their ‘ACE Accreditation’, which ensures that customers of the group consistently receive the best possible service, experience and value for money on every visit.
In fact, Peugeot have their own standard of award, the highest being the ‘Gold Lion’. It recognises outstanding performance through several key aspects of the business, with an emphasis on customer service, and places you within a select group of the best Peugeot dealers in the country; only the top 30 dealers are Gold Lion standard, and it may not surprise you to know that we’ve won the award four times since 2016.
Or that our team members have also won the Gold Lion accreditation: Gavin Matthews - Gold Lion Sales Manager 2017 and 2018, Remy Wilkinson - Gold Lion Service Manager 2017 and Andrew Hawkins - Gold Lion Business & Fleet Specialist 2017.
And keeping with customer service – we’re also extremely proud to announce that Truscotts were honoured to receive an award from Motability for our outstanding customer service also.
In all honesty, no business can guarantee 100% that you’ll
never have a problem, or that we’ll never get things wrong – we’re human, we
understand that we’re not perfect, but we like to think that a businesses
stands or falls on how they deal with those problems that occasionally crop up;
we’ve stood side-by-side with Peugeot for over 25 years, hopefully that means
we’re doing things right (but we’re always happy to be told otherwise).
