As a talented Dealer Principal or General Manager, you’ll run one of Helston Garages Group major dealerships as if it was your own business. This means delivering an amazing customer experience that builds loyalty and maximizes profits. In return, you’ll have all the scope and support you need to achieve real career success.
You’ll be involved in every aspect of running your dealership. A real people person, you’ll constantly inspire excellence and consistently motivate, energise and drive-up the performance levels of your team. With a strategic approach to business, you’ll recruit key team members, control cash flow, stocks and assets and monitor financial performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. You’ll also create strong Manufacturer relationships and help increase sales through promotional activity.
As an experienced leader, you’ll know what it takes to run a successful dealership and possess the strength of character, resilience and relentless enthusiasm necessary to do so. Process driven with a track record of exceeding targets you’ll put the needs of the customer at the heart of everything you do.
With a strategic approach, the successful General Manager’s focus will be wide ranging and includes:
Supporting your teams to manage all aspects of the dealership from new and used car and CV sales, associated products, parts, labour and aftersales care
Ensuring the delivery of outstanding levels of customer service
Recruiting, developing & retaining talented team members
Controlling cash flow, stocks and asset management and monitoring financial performance on a daily, weekly & monthly basis
Building strong relationships with Volkswagen (UK) and VAG and always acting in the interests of Helston Garages Group and the brand objectives
Implementation of brand strategies, policies, procedures and looking at future approaches to developing the business further
Driven to succeed in a target orientated business environment, putting customers and team members first in everything that you do
Self-awareness, constantly driving to improve one’s self and others performance, challenging and supporting others to achieve
Proactivity, striving to push and develop your business and your team to exceed against customer and brand expectations
Ability to implement and follow robust business processes and practices at all times
