A brief company history.

The Company was formed in 1960 by Mr Carr’s father who purchased Helston Garages as a filling station and repairs workshop. After completing his apprenticeship Mr Carr joined his father and worked at the Helston Garages as a mechanic.

In 1975 Mr and Mrs Carr purchased Helston Garages from Mr Carr senior. After 16 years of working at Helston Garages to establish and grow the business, Mr and Mrs Carr purchased Taunton Garages. This was just the beginning of almost 30 years of steady and controlled growth for the Group. Today the Helston Garages Group is firmly established as one of the top 30 motor retail groups in the Country.
